Agriculture, food, and climate: a new frontier in the technology race

26 November 2026 • 12:00 - 13:00

Thematic scope

Agriculture and food production are becoming key areas of technological competition. Climate change, pressure on water and soil resources, energy costs, food security, automation, and increasingly stringent regulatory requirements are driving demand for new solutions: precision farming, biotechnology, digital crop and livestock management systems, robotics, resource-efficient technologies, and alternative protein sources.

How can academia, technology companies, food producers, and the agricultural sector collaborate to implement innovations? Where do the greatest barriers lie: technology costs, farm size, access to data, funding, regulations, or acceptance among producers and consumers? Can Poland develop its own areas of specialisation in agritech, food biotechnology, agricultural automation, and climate-resilience technologies?
